The problem

Produce is unforgiving.

Pneumatic suction can bruise the blossom end of an apple or push compressor oil into food zones. Mechanical jaws break tender skin. Natural size variation defeats rigid grippers built for one SKU. The result is damage rates that eat into margin and lines that can't run mixed crops without retooling.
